Meet Fiona

Hi, I’m Fiona. My journey with crystal bowls began with a simple curiosity: Why does this sound make us feel so much better?

With a background in Biological Science, I love diving into the 'why'—looking at how sound waves interact with our nervous system and help our bodies shift into a state of deep rest. As the founder of Ananda, I’ve spent years working with the craftsmanship of these beautiful quartz instruments.

In Solace in Soft Waves, I’ve combined my love for science with my passion for sound healing. My goal is to give you a training that feels both soul-filling and intellectually grounded, so you can walk away with a practice you truly understand and believe in.

Course Outline - 4 Big Modules

  • The Science Behind The Bowls

    Understanding how and why frequency affect your body and nervous system.

  • Wisdom of Crystal Bowls

    Energy centers, Power of Intention, Musical Theories, Psychoacoustics etc...

  • Developing A Sound Healing Session

    How to take a collection of bowls and turn them into a transformative narrative experience.

  • Practicum

    Hands-on practice and the business of being an instructor.

What if I miss one of the Sundays?

Because this is a 30-hour certification, full attendance is required to receive your certificate. If you have a specific scheduling conflict, please reach out to us before registering to discuss options.

Do I need a musical background to join?

No. Crystal singing bowls are accessible to everyone. We will teach you the specific techniques for striking and singing the bowls, as well as the basic "musical" logic needed to create a harmonious session.

I don't own any bowls yet. Can I still take the training?

Absolutely. In fact, we recommend waiting until after the training to buy your own set. We provide professional-grade bowls for you to practice with during the course, and the "Science" module will teach you exactly what to look for when you are ready to invest in your own.

Is this training only for Yoga Teachers?

While we are Yoga Alliance Accredited (providing 30 CE hours for registered teachers), this course is open to anyone. Health professionals, therapists, and those seeking personal growth will find the curriculum deeply rewarding.

What will I be able to do after these 30 hours?

You will leave with the confidence and certification to lead a professional 60-minute sound bath, integrate sound into a yoga class or therapy session, and understand the science behind how these instruments affect the human body.
